Caldy Rugby Club is a club for each and every member, young or old. On Sunday mornings our thriving mini section takes to Paton Field. We have more than 250 boys and girls in 6 age groups ranging from under 6's to under 12' s. We have a large number of RFU qualified coaches each and every one of whom is passionate about their rugby.
The Minis section is more than just rugby though. We have a Christmas Party for the children, half term rugby camps and also a Minis Tour. For parents, the season comes to an end with our spectacular May Ball. Whether your child is the next Jonny Wilkinson (minus the injuries- hopefully) , Andrew Sheridan or even Martin Johnson (minus the eyebrows -definitely) or simply wants to learn and enjoy this great game in a safe and warm environment, then Caldy is the ideal place to make the start. To play, all players must be officially registered with the Club, with registration taking place over the first two weeks of the season at the Clubhouse. The players' age group is determined by their age as of the 1st September. Because of numbers we can only take players who are a minimum of 5 as of this date.
Re-registration for parents from last year:-
Just come along on Sunday 6th September from 10.30am and re-register. We will ask you to check your details- make sure to bring a cheque made out to Caldy RFC. For this season registration costs: First child.................................£75.00 Each subsequent child................£20.00 and for this the player will be a fully fledged member of the Club and covered by its insurance policy.
Registration for new parents:-
For parents new to the club you are welcome to let your child come along for the first two weeks. After which he/ she must be registered. If you do wish to register your child, you will need 2 passport type photos for each child wishing to join. If you want to know more about us, then this site can tell you much that you need to know. Each age group has a dedicated Head Coach and you can find their contact details in the relevant pages. Better still, come and sample the atmosphere on a Sunday morning. You won't be disappointed!.
